Default 1984 A/C high pressure switch

I am hoping to get confirmation with this A/C switch that goes into the compressor. I can not find the single wire switch anywhere but can find the 2 wire everywhere. From my research with the 2 wire one wire splices into the old single wire and the other wire goes to ground, wire configuration doesn't matter. Would this be correct?
In the picture the switch has green plastic. On the back it has the number 6551828. I have been able to cross reference to Santech MT0671 which has a description as a cooling fan switch kit. Replaces single pin green and white mushroom and black 2 pin. So the original green plastic single wire is a high pressure switch?

I am converting an old now working R12 system to 134a system.
Does this information seem correct? Sure would appreciate any suggestions or help.

You need to be very careful with your buy. In 'snapshot' of the item you mention the specifications aren't anywhere near correct. That needs to be sorted/addressed before a buy for sure.

Thanks for the input!
I thought there was a response that had asked a couple questions about the wires and the switch being normally closed and a pressure of 170psi if I recall. I am not seeing it now, kind of odd. I added pictures for the questions about the single brown wire.

Thanks for the link to the older posting with the NAPA part numbers. I will go there today and see what they can come up with.

It is from 2006, but has part numbers and specifications. It also confirms that the switch on the compressor is for the Cooling Fan, and not the high pressure 'safety' switch.

He finally sourced his switch from NAPA. If it was available from NAPA in 2006, it probably still is.

The single tan wire is the cooling fan switch. (ON with A/C ON.) (Normally Open. No spec in the FSM for pressure. The link says 150psi. 175 about right for R-134.)

The switch you show in your opening post won't work for either position.
I totally appreciate your help! I was pretty sure I had found the correct part in my opening post. Glad I asked. Hopefully NAPA will be able to reference the part numbers in the post from 2006, again thank you.

That NAPA number is what I used to obtain the switch I ended up using for mine. In that time I changed some other things and it was no longer needed... But it was still a valid, referenceable number as of august 2020.

I have hit the NAPA website with this P/N 207087 and looks like the same part as I found in my opening post, purple part. I am wondering if this the correct one..??

Two wire and either black or a purple. I believe it was a four seasons part I was handed. Came with the necessary connector too as well as two tyco heat shrink connectors.

Well I got the NAPA part! I really do appreciate the help and experience with this project. I am realizing I have a couple other things I need to get running properly before I finish this project. The previous owner bypassed the fan relay an made a fan on off switch in the dash. For all of this to work correctly I should probably make it so the cooling system works the way it was intended and have the fan turning on and off automatically. Plus yesterday I found out the front and rear defrosters do not work.

Again thanks for the help. Once this is ready to finish it will be working properly.
