Default Is there a Vent on your AC?

I have tried to figure out how to use the AC as a vent. In most of my other cars I could allow cold air from the outside to vent in as free AC. I cant figure out how to do it with this computer AC on my 91. Anybody know how???

Thanks

I don't quite understand the question, but if you lower the temperature setting as low as it would go, the climate control will stop trying to regulate temperature, and just let outside air in (this assumes it's set to "vent"; if set to A/C or bi-level, you get max cold). This is explained in the owner's manual.

The button with the singe arrow pointing at the face of the little sitting man is the "vent" button. The A/C compressor is off.

The one with two arrows is bi-level. (Bi-level runs the A/C compressor).

"AUTO" is A/C with outside air. I forget the what the button says for inside (recirculating) A/C . . . it might be a picture of a car with curled up arrow.

Again, the owner's manual explains everything in great detail in just a few pages.

Check on Ebay, they seem to have at least one manual listed at any time. To get the air to recirculate inside the car push the button just to the right of the auto button. It has the arrow that makes the u-turn inside the car  If you want only fresh uncirculated airconditioning then just keep it on 'AUTO'

Hope this helps

i think its the first button with the arrow pointing to the face. the one with 2 arrows activates ac, and the one further on the right with 1 arrow to the face is MAX ac. Man i think i confused myself... think i need to go check themanual... oh wait.. its sitting right here............1 sec.. wups i was totally wrong. Anyhow.. heres what the maual says..

For Automaic electronic Climate control....
(shows picture with 1 arrow pointing to the face) " In this setting, the compressor will not run. The system will adjust to the temeperature you choose, but it cannot cool the vehicle to a temperature colder than the outside air temperature. This setting also controls the fan speed automatically, unless the fan is overridden by the (up arrow) or the (down arrow) button.

basically, if im correct.. select the lowest temperature, then select the vent button (with arrow pointing to the face only) and then adjust the fan to whatever setting you like to draw the air in. if it dont work... the top does come off ya know..
