This being my first Superam install I wasn't looking forward to installing the bolts from below. The previous owner provided 12 point shouldered bolts that had been slotted on the ends so that once started from below a small screwdriver could reach down from above to screw them the majority of the way in. I thought this was ingenious way to do it but if your going to do that why not just use set screws and nuts. So now you can screw the set screws is ahead of time no chance of pulling threads. Then just set it in place and start the nuts from below. A dab of grease on a finger to hold the nut and turning the set screw from above and the process went pretty quickly. Then when it comes to tighten them an open end from below and an allen from above and your done. I'm probably not the first one to do it this way but I havn't seen it done this way on the interweb.

On mine, I threaded the runners for those two inner bolts and bolted from the top. Theyre allen heads with a small hole drilled through the side of the head. I then use red loctite and mechanics wire and tie the two together on each side so if they come loose they can’t get chomped up in the cylinder

Yea... what he said. I'd be afraid that if by some stupid chance they loosen up they get ingested. If you were able to drill the bottom end of the set screws ahead of time and then cotter pin or wire them from the bottom I think that would be safer.
