Hello,
Proud new (to me) Corvette owner. I have a 1991 C4 and I joined this forum because I've been creeping on here for months looking for information and advice. So... I figured I might as well join. I'm not a mechanic by trade but I know a thing or two about turning a wrench. Still learning about SBC's as I have graduated from Honda k20/k24's. My Vette still has the l98 but with plenty of the fixins. Bored over to 355, ported and polished heads, TPIS mini ram intake, Hooker Competition headers, 58mm throttle body, Comp XFI 280 cam, 24lb injectors, and 1.6 steel roller rockers. I am looking for valve train/cam advice so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated!
Welcome to the Forum, Alex, and congratulations on your nice C4!
Lot of great members and helpful info in the C4 sections at: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-1984-1996-19/. I would suggest asking your cam/valve train question there. This is more of a “hello” section.
Lived in Louisville for three years when attending UofL and still like to get back and look around.
Enjoy your ride and save the wave!

Welcome to the forum and nice looking C4 that you have. Since you are looking for advice on valve train/ cam changes to your car, I am moving this thread over to the C4 Tech/Performance section for some recommendations.
Welcome!
You didn't really say what you are trying to accomplish in terms of your valvetrain. The Comp 280 is a pretty darn healthy bumpstick as it is. I had a Comp 280 Magnum in a 3rd gen Camaro with a built 355 and a 5 speed, and it had plenty of sauce to get rubber in all 5 gears if I was on it hard. Are you having drivability issues? Are you looking for more power? Do you have a parts failure? What advice do you seek?
Edit: found your other thread, so just welcome!
