Default Shift points on 700R4/4L60

When driving really slow with just a little bit of accelerator,
at what rpm should it shift?

Mine shifts very early so I'm not sure if this is O.K.

From HELM service manual:

1-2 min throttle
11-13 mph

2-3 min throttle
19-26mph

3-4 min throttle
41-51mph

1-2 WOT
28-41mph

3-2 part throttle
36-55mph

4-3 coast down
37-48mph

2-1 coast down
10-12mph

Hmmm, never tried driving a vette like that  Actually, at low speed, not sure of the RPM, but mine shifts to second before 20 mph and I'm thinking 3rd was about 35-40. I'll have to check.

There is another thread on the subject, but on city streets and slow traffic I keep mine in D not OD. I go to OD only when I hit the highway and am going to stay above 45mph. This keeps the RPM's up and prevents shifting up and down and the torque converter locking / unlocking. :seeya

Mine is a 90 auto
at very very minimum slow gas pedal:
1-2 12 -13 mph
2-3 24 -25 mph
3-4 never, never, never before 54 mph

I think I have a very low shift point on 1-2 and 2-3 but the 3 to overdrive comes very later.
I will be happy to know yours shift points at minimal trottle.....

Mine shift points are:

1-2 : 8-9mph
2-3 : 16-17mph

It looks that this is a little bit too low.

Can this be adjusted with TV cable?

That is my one and only gripe with my trans. In "D" It shifts far too low(4400 punched) my motor should be shifted around 5800. Thing is, I don't want to go messing around with it because it shifts nice at wot even manually, and around town.

Mine is just fine at WOT in "D", shifting @4800-4900,
but when slowly driving it shifts very low.
I start and before you know it's in 3rd gear.

[B]If I try to adjust the TV cable will it effect on shifting at WOT
bacause I don't want to change shift points at WOT, only part throttle!? [B]

If you adjust/reset the TV cable you will not change your WOT shift point!. You will change the part/low throttle shift point. So I suggest to try.
