Default Governor Questions

After TransGo install, at WOT my 1-2 upshift is too early @ 3800RPM, but 2-3 is good @ 4900RPM. TransGo would like me to check the Governor but I can't seem to get it out. Here's the question: Is the Governor set for each shift separately or is it matched to all the shifts as one? Will a "V6" Governor increase just my first gear revs, or will I get stupid high revs in 2-3 & 3-4?

if im not mistaken, the governor controls the shift at wot for all gears. you may have to install the heavier springs for your 1-2 shift from the shift kit. my 700r4 did the exact opposite. it wouldnt shift 1-2 until 6k and everything else was around 5k so i had to go with a lighter spring for my 1-2 shift. im not a tranny expert, but this is from my personal experience.
