If anybody on the froum has any info. on this please respond. This is a 1985 corvette and this is the 3rd flywheel. It does find until you run it up to about 5000 rpm. After about a week the flywheel cracks around the crank. Check the bolts and all tight. But flywheel broken. So does anyone have any clues? :banghead:

This *is* an auto trans, right??? (I don't think I've heard of a std trans flywheel breaking...Cracks, yes...but breaking???)...
In that case, I'd say your flex plate is flexing too much...
Does the snout of the TC fit snugly into the flex plate??? How about the trans front pump bushing??? Was the flex plate(s) balanced??? Finally, was the TC balanced properly???
