Recently drove car and it would not shift out of 1st gear, immediately turn back home, checked trans fluid level and found it low, i recently discovered the trans pan bolts were loose and tightened them. I added fluid, which improved the shifting but was still shifting at higher rpm than normal, shifting seemed to return to normal on a subsequent drive a couple days later and I thought all was well but now the delayed shifting has returned, it shifts between 3 and 4K rpm. The service engine soon light would come on intermittently also. I had over filled the fluid so I have performed a drain and filter replace, the old filter dropped out when in removed the pan without me having to pull it out, I was able to remove O ring and replace with new filter & new O ring and was careful to get fluid level correct
there was a little fine magnetic sludge on the magnet but no chunks of metal
the car still does not shift at normal rpm’s/speeds
could this be related to T.V. Cable or bracket or is this some other issue?
any help is appreciated
