I have the Fuel Tank out for replacement and I'm looking at the Fuel Lines and they don't look in that great of shape. So I now have new ones headed my way. The replacement should be pretty straight forward with the Rear Bumper cover, the Gas Tank and the Rear Suspension removed. Has anybody wiggled a new set of lines in with the rear suspension still in ?
Well with over 100 people looking at this post and not one reply on an easy way to do it I took that as an omen that there isn't an easy way. And for good reason. I changed out the Pressure Line today and I really don't wish this project on anybody. By removing the Rear Bumper, Gas Tank, the right Bolt on the Batwing, the Dogbones and the top Shock bolts I was able to drop the right side enough to snake the Fuel Line threw. Lots of bend and push and straighten and re bend going on. There are a number of plastic 32 year old clips to work with and its hard to get the Lines to lay as well as the Factory did. Once I got the old lines out I wire wheeled the Rust off to find no deep pitting they would probably of been OK to run again. Anyway its possible to change the Lines I have a 2 post lift and a Trans jack with out those it would of been a lot longer than one day.
Definitely not an easy job. I was going to replace my '67's several years ago but after looking at its routing, I said to hell with it. Not sure if the GM Service Manual outlines the procedure but I doubt it does. Anyway, glad you got it done.

I have done the C2 and 3;fuel line replacement before. It's not as bad as it sounds providing the body mount bolts are in good shape. Take them out on the right side and loosen them on the left. Lift the body an inch or so and your set to get them in and out.
