Default Stall speed?

I have tried to get a hold of a tech person from B&M, TCI and Precision and either can't reach someone or can't get a straight answer. So I figured I would ask hear.

I plan on getting a new torque converter. The one I'm looking at is rated at
2300-2500 with an engine that is making 230 ft lbs at 2500rpm.
my engine will make 450 ft lbs at the fly at 2500 rpm. So what would the stall speed be on my car? maybe 2600-2800?

I would think it would vary, based on the efficiency of the torque converter, as well as the stall torque ratio. IMO you are probably close with your guess, but have you tried to get hold of the torque converter manufacture that you will be using? Not trying to push a Yank converter on you, but you may want to visit their web page. They have one of the best sites for explaining all the differences in converters. Good luck.

I'm trying to do this on a budget and would like to go with a B&M torque converter. That and I have always been happy with other B&M stuff. Custumer loyalty I guess. Anyway I called them but no one was in then. I will try and call in a few hours.

I got a hold of the tech guy from B&M. He said the one I'm looking at would be right arround 2800rpm in my car. He said he couldn't say for sure but that was a very educated guess. For $340 it's not a bad deal.
