Default L98 water pump
I doubt there are many on here that still have the OEM water pump on. Were the factory water pumps cast iron or aluminum? I’m asking because I’m trying to determine how much weight I’ve reduced in the front end of my car. When, if ever did GM switch to aluminum?

I walked out and put a magnet to mine, my waterpump is NOT magnetic. The pulley is.

84 was the first year that got them. I can't think of any other traditional SBC that got an aluminum pump.
