I have a broken Rear toe rod on my 95 c4, and I am looking for replacements. Another thread talked about Banski parts but it looks like Banski closed down, and ecklers corvette has been giving me trouble with shipping times on the vansteel part that I ordered. Where should I get these parts and what manufacturer should I get them from? Any help is appreciated, and if anyone knows how to find the Banski parts I’d love to hear it. Thank you!

Try these guys. Has them in stock, high quality parts for everything he sells.
Just a quick addition to this topic: I believe the stock outer tie rod ends for the rear toe links are the same as used on the front tie rods. If that's the part that's broken, this is a cheap and easy fix. If the inner half is broken, aftermarket is probably the only good option. I was sad that Banski shut down, but After Dark is a great alternative. Their proprietor races what he sells and is a good source of tech support.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but if a person were considering an aftermarket toe rod assembly would you recommend the Afterdark over the Vansteel? The price is about the same between the two.

Good question. At first glance the price is the same, down to the penny; and they both have three mounting height adjustments plus shims for bump steer adjustments. So I don't know. In terms of parts quality, it probably comes down to the actual rod ends each kit uses, and I don't know about that. I have no personal experience with Van Steel, but have heard good things. I have some almost-personal experience with After Dark, through a very close who bought some parts from them and got a ton of good info from them on how use, set up, etc. It's probably hard to go wrong either way.

Thanks for the advice. I don't need one by any means. But I'm in the process of rebuilding the rear end suspension right now. I hate the fact that I can't get new parts for that toe assembly other than the rod ends. The used factory assembly's go for a premium on ebay. So I figured I would sell off the 3 used sets I have laying around and buy either the Vansteel or the Afterdark. That way everything is new. But I wasn't sure if there was a difference between them.
Sorry to resurrect this thread only hijack it, but has anyone ever looked at the inner toe bars on the factory unit to see if there's perhaps another OE type piece that would screw into the part that bolts to the back of the diff? I'd be totally willing to chop up old front tie bars to weld something else onto another piece that had the right thread pitch and diameter on the inside joint.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not too cheap to pay list price for a VanSteel setup, but I've read they're noisy and my '95 already has enough NVH for two or three cars of it's GWVR. Mine just rolled over 180k miles, and I have no aspirations of it ever being a show car or collectible. I just want it to be comfortable and drive straight. It already has enough race "inspired" annoyances like solid roller lifters and adjustable Fox race shocks, along with all the 25+ year old squeaks and rattles. I don't want it to become less comfortable to commute in.

in the end, I got my links from after dark speed, they were reasonably priced and easy to install. The guy who runs it was super helpful and knowledgeable. I had to search a while to find a solution that worked, as several of the companies I tried to order from were closed or lied about having the part. I couldn’t find an OE part that fit the mount, as the mount is rather odd. There might be something out there but after dark speed worked fantastic for me.

Yes, but their solution, like the VanSteel product is a completely race-oriented aftermarket thing. Un-sealed, un-greasable heim joints that are made to last a couple years of racing. They look cool, but I don't make it a habit to drive my car over myself to adore the undercarriage. I want something like OE. It doesn't need to be as pretty as it must be functional, durable, and quiet. Two out of three is no better than zero out of three.
