Install and adjust roller lifters

Hello everyone, I received my cam and the heads should be done early this week. So in the not too distant future I will be installing the lifters. I am using the original lifter, cheapo that I am. So I just watched two videos. One the installer is using Edelbrock valve train. Edelbrock says DO NOT soak the lifters. Dip the lifters in clean oil. Comp says soak them. So I am using the stock roller lifters. Soak or not soak?
Pre load? I plan on moving the push rod up and down until it does not go up and down. Quarter turn, half turn, full turn? On my flat tappets I have always done something between quarter and half.

When I did my cam I reused the lifters. I soaked mine and I use 1/2 turn. Mine is a late 86.

The 86 is a flat tappet cam and lifters. These are roller cam and lifters. Thank you

No need to soak them. And 1/2 to 1 full turn past zero is fine.

it's so funny. It's times like this I wish they were solid lifters. Just take out the feeler gauge and set it. No guess work. LoL
