Default HEI plug/connector

What does this connector look like that goes to the dist. cover and is it part of the harness that comes thru the drivers side of the car. not the RH firewall. Says LH in the picture.

Are you asking about the bellhousing bolt ground or hei ground strap under the cap ?
you can get Hei power and tach connectors on eBay or Amazon.

I've seen them, on older HEI distributors. The single plug with three wires goes down inside the distributor to the ignition module, then there was another wire for power and one for tach if you needed it. I haven't looked at mine to know if it has that three wire plug or not.

So far I have found only one wire in my left harness that is pink with a single white connector. I believe that is the power to the hei. Is that all I need on that side to get the car to start. Also, is that pic you posted from a C4 corvette

Pink would come from C100 drivers-side firewall. I would doubt that's a C4 distributor. All HEI were typical. If everything else is connected correctly and operational, adding IGN (PNK) to correct terminal of HEI should enable run.

The 3 wire comes from the base of the distributor (capacitor terminal block). The white and brown connectors in my hands (pic2) are backwords, white should be on right.

You may need to increase power feed to HEI gauge, not just tap into the pink one. Lots of information out there on it.

The pink single wire connector comes from large harness bundle behind and below distributor.

Thanks vets vet for the great pics and sorry for the dumb questions. Am scratch building this car so actual pics help get it together. My 3 wires that come out of the hei to that connector are red black and yellow so i guess yellow is brown. But at least i now know that connector goes to the coil. I was wondering about that. So what color wire is the tach wire. I have a stray light wire without a connector that looks like it could be it.

There is something on the schematic that says tach filter. Where is that located?
