Master cylinder seal leaking
I have a 1990 with the dreaded leaking front master cylinder seal. I saw the other guys post about using a metal turkey baster, but the only one I could find was plastic, and that didn’t work out. I have a large C clamp, and a large pair of channel lock pliers to try to push the seal back on to the master cylinder. I’m starting with the seal mounted on the reservoir. I’m going to try a little heat on the seal tomorrow, and use that to try to push it on. The angle lead which it sits does make using a clamp or pliers difficult. I am also going to use a little fresh brake fluid or even some dielectric grease, to try to get it to slide on. Does anyone have any tips?
