Default Cam bearing replacement?

I’m replacing the entire moving assembly and I’m wondering if I need to replace the camshaft bearings. The journals are smooth, not out of round, and the lobes look great. But when I look at the bearings I see what seems to be little scratches. I can’t feel them but I can see them.

I’m just building this for daily driver use. Do I need to replace those bearings? And if so, how?

Those scratch marks came from inserting and removing the camshaft. If you replace them I'll bet there will be some in the new ones after you re-insert the cam. I've seen more problems with replaced cam bearing than the existing ones. If the original ones allowed the cam to rotate freely and there are no signs of high spot scuffing I would leave them as is.
You can buy or rent a tool to remove and install them. If you do, know that all the bearings are NOT the same size and they must be put in the proper location with the oil supply hole clocked to the proper position. Probably better off just letting the engine shop do them for you if you want them replaced.

@78blueta mind a follow-up question? It's regarding the oil holes. The ones that are in there now are (with the engine oriented right-side up, with oil pan on bottom):
#1 - 12:30 & 4:30
#2, 3, & 4: 4:00
#5: 12:00
Shouldn't those be 8:00 & 2:00, and the rest at 2:00?

Clevite recommends #2-5 at the 2 o'clock position and #1 at 12 and 4 o'clock. Anywhere from 2 to 4 o'clock is ok. Number 5 at 12 o'clock is ok too.

Awesome, thank you! Then I'm just going to leave them in and move on. Damn the torpedoes!

There's a saying on the internet about cam bearings. "If you look at them they go bad". But seriously I agree with what was already stated those look like new to be honest. Unless you just want some practice putting in new ones I would leave them.
