I bought my 1984 Corvette over a year ago I have been doing body work and the interior for the last 6 months almost ready for paint soon Well anyways I have rusted fuel lines I am doing a retro restoration. I am putting a Holly Brawler 650 CFM carburetor on the car this week. I want to put all new braided fuel lines in the car. I was wondering if anyone has done this and what size the lines should be good for the 650 CFM carburetor, I am putting a Cam Shaft in the car in a few weeks. (Comp cams 12-242-2) a quick google search and it says the C4s need 25 feet of 3/8 fuel line from gas tank to the fuel filter then I am not sure how it goes after the fuel filter. If anyone has any advice on how I should run the fuel lines maybe straight to the filter, then from filter to the carb? or should I continue all those other things under the hood that the fuel goes through? Not sure if anyone is going to understand what I am trying to say. Also, what fittings would I need to connect the line to the filter and up from the filter up into the motor or is just a clamp type of set up. should I also change the filter to match the braided line set up basically want fuel line size the length the type of fittings. Sorry if there is any confusion.
I did PTFE braided feed and return lines in my 84 for my LS swap. I used a 8an feed and 6an return. I'm not sure what size you would need being that you're going with a carb. But I used one of the eBay kits with fittings and it worked extremely well. No leaks and it was easy to put together. I ran the feed and return on the passenger side. The hardest part was finding a bulkhead fitting that I was happy with at the sending unit.
