Default Throttle lever not kicking back.

I noticed I have a high idle at startup, around 1100 or so. If I tap the gas pedal it will kick down. When I'm coasting to a stop light/sign it won't drop down below 1100 unless I tap the pedal, then it will kick down to 600. At idle I noticed that my throttle lever doesn't freely come back to touch the idle set screw. I can push it back to the screw manually and it seems kinda sticky (for lack of a better word). It is stopping short of the screw by about 1/16th of an inch. Is this something that I can clean/fix or do I have to replace the whole TB? Does it need to be lubed/oiled with something? The TB blades are clean. I noticed that the spring isn't real tight, the windings are actually kinda loosely bound, is this normal? Can the spring be replaced by itself?

TIA

Remove the air bridge and get some carborator cleaner and spray generously and clean the roller bearings that the butterflys ride on. Sounds like dirt in the bearings. Also shoot some lubrication into bearings, as long as the bearings aren't damaged they should come back with no issues. If not you'll have to replace the bearings or entire throttle body.....good luck

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that tonight. What's the best kind of lube to use in the bearings for this application?

My personal opinion is use silicone lubrication in the spray bottle. Some may offer lithium grease but lithium will pick up crap over time where silicon adherse the metallic surface and reflects most dirt and grim......other chime in???.....
