Default AC bolt

Does this look like the right bolt for the a/c connection. I think someone jacked with it because it only has 3 threads holding it on.

Correct bolt would have been M10 - 1.5 X 40 likely and it would have a 'flanged head'

Mine looks original compared to other c4's but its really shy of 40mm (1.5"). It needs to be 40mm

That looks like a bolt for exhaust headers.

On your picture there is a faint outline visible around that bolt, and that is from the original bolt with a larger head.

I believe it may be this ... 1986 to 2004 GM A/C Compressor Bolt M10x1.5x65 17955.01 OE 11509142 . That ebay image also shows 9.8 on the head. Advanced Auto parts part # 17955.01

I have bought from redneck before. He is good but $23 for one bolt is crazy. I may try hardware store.

A dealer of any brand can probably better help you with the 'flanged head' M10 - 1.50 X 40. I don't believe the super diameter flange is important but 'flanged head' I do believe. A washer?

The sellers ad was just for reference, it actually crosses over to a GM 11515768.

I bought a flanged one with the specs WVZR-1 gave me and only spent two bucks. I am not going to work on the a/c until the car runs but as I run into problems like this
bolt I repair it. Thanks guys for the info.
