Hello everybody, I am finishing the assembly of my 89 6 spd. I removed the pipe that heats the TBI. I am wondering how you all have run that hose? to the heater core. Mine looks like it is going to rub on the valve cover. Oh and does anyone know what is the paint color of the valve covers. Thank you I can just sneak it past the AC compressor. But, it is going to rub on the valve cover. Thank you
What you need is a heater hose for a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 4.0. This I know because I owned one with my first ‘89 20 years ago. The hose that is long with the L shape and short leg works perfectly when trimmed to length. That 90 deg bend is perfect at the intake side.
So I decided to route the heater core hose against the motor under the AC compressor. I tried to use fittings for braided hose. I ordered some from Summit. The compression nut would not go over the hose. I had the same problem when I was running braided hose for my oil cooler. I was sending them back to Summit. The technician asked why I was sending them back. I explained the problem. He said let me make upthe order and send it to you. I guarantee it will work. I did and the fittings did work. I am hoping that I can reorder and use thebraided line fittings. I think it would look so much cleaner I am using a plumbing fitting. I painted black for now. This is what I want to use
