Identify & source this bushing on rear leaf spring
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me on this
as titled, not sure of correct nomenclature of the rear leaf spring bushing, also need to source them.
Also what i believe is the connector for the wheel speed sensor all 4 are falling apart, plan is to seperate unplug and shrink wrap each wire individually.
This connector is the best one, the other 3 wires/ clips are visible.
Not to hijack but if I install the Autozone bushes can I put the nut in exactly the same place and be OK? Thanks, Dan
The idea is to bring the retainer nut to the point where the Cotter Pin hole is +- center of groove of Castle nut,I guess if you want a little extra tension you could add a washer or two.
But I don't think that is needed, the new bushings are much thicker and denser than most worn out bushings.

Thank you. I understand. I was confused by th op's double nut. I am out of town and can't look at mine. Dan
Just to add to the info already presented, I don't think the stock rubber bushings are available at all anymore. These Energy Suspension pieces are fine: it's what I used on mine.

Auto Zone and most of the box parts stores have a few choices, including a plain black rubber.

I think all the Energy Suspension bushings are polyurethane and not rubber. I don't believe anyone makes rubber ones for our cars. Dan
It really doesn't matter rubber or polyurethane it's not a Hi-Tech part infact it's 1 step up food chain from a Hockey Puck
(Hockey Puck would split under load in time) did a Red Neck Body lift on a truck once they cracked in a year.

Which is why I said it's fine to use the ES parts.

The urethane bushings will break down and fall apart in time also. In this application they are under a significant load all the time, and they are exposed to road conditions and some exhaust heat. When I bought my car I had to replace the ES bushings in the rear spring for that very reason. Luckily they are cheap and easy to replace.
I just did this yesterday with the Energy Suspension bushes on my 96. I was actually surprised how good my original ones looked. The new ones seem stiffer. Pretty quick to change them. Dan
