1994 C68 Climate Control Issues
My 94' that I've owned for 12 years finally started giving me climate control fits today. Went to go for a drive and the car wouldnt fire up. Took the battery down to advanced auto and got a new one. She fired right up and runs great however, now I'm experiencing a weird issue with my automatic climate control display. I don't think the buttons need removed/cleaned, it's weirder than that. Here is what I've got a long with a YouTube video showing the issue in action.
-Start car up, or even just leave key on/engine off, the HVAC system works correctly.
-After about 10 seconds of not touching anything it, "locks up," on whatever setting I have it on. The display remains on but button presses are unresponsive.
-I checked and replaced the the bottom row 5amp fuse in the fuse box on the passenger side for good measure.
-Ive disconnected and reconnected the battery and the problem persists.
Has anyone else had an issue like this? I don't feel like it is the control board above the gas pedal it seems like the issue would be in the head unit display. Am I right in thinking that?
