Default Hvac wiring help

Hey all, i’m having a rough time tracking down a diagram, or anything really for the HVAC control module. The wiring on mine was cut by the original owner, and i’m also looking to possibly re-wire the car itself… but that requires knowing what the connector pinouts are!

i need info on the brown one and the white one if possible. Car is an 1984 model.

Thanks for any help!

These are the connectors i need help with

This is a photo of the front, so you know what hvac i have

The white is a vacuum control and the vacuum routing is in the FSM (Factory Service Manual), the brown is a select rotary electrical and the wiring schematic is also in the FSM, the terminals in the upper left position near the white vacuum is the blower switch in the FSM, bottom is the de-ice for lift gate and not seen in yours is probably the vacuum control for the heater valve that's under the hood. A FSM would answer all of your questions and you should be able to sort wiring from the FSM yourself. I have the '84 FSM. If it interests you drop me a PM or an email using the links to the left clicking on my 'user ID'. I can't PM you because you've not met the posting requirements to make the PM function work.

my account is new here, so it definitly cannot pm. I can however link you an unused email address i don’t mind being public, if it means access to an FSM for that car. It would help me sooo much, as i can’t find stuff for it other than stuff for all c4’s

anyways, here’s the email: Mydnyte.corvetteforurm+1984@gmail.com

EMAIL IS MISSPELLED.

OOO! Yes this helps a lot! It does reduce my question count greatly. though I still have to figure out what pin 3 does on the brown connector shown above. As for the wiring itself, for some reason, I only have 3 wires coming off of the brown selectors connector anyways, they run to pins 3 4 5 (the closest to the vacuum style selector).

Using a multimeter i've done a basic test on the pins and found the following information:

MODE | Pin connection
----------|----------------------------------
Off | None linked
Max | 5-4-3 linked, 1-2 linked
Norm | 5-4-3 linked, 1-2 linked
Bi | 5-4-3 linked, 1-2 linked
Vent | 5-4 Linked
heater | 5-4 linked
defrost | 5-4-3 linked.

again, pin 1 is far from the white vacuum connector, 5 is close.
My question now is, how does the ac compressor turn on, if there's no wires connected to 1 and 2? as well as any idea on what pin 3 does?

For reference, I'm asking a lot of detail due to the fact that I will almost certainly be re-wiring this entire car from the ground up. (standalone ecu)

As seen in the diagram above the green wire (pin C) will start the A/C compressor, if the pressure switches allow it.
Power from pin E connects to pin C when "Max", "Normal", "Bi-Level" or "Defroster" are selected.

1=A, 2=B, 3=C, 4=D, 5=E
Your measurements match except for "Bi Level" that should be 5-3 linked.
