!986 C4 Running rich
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can throw some ideas at me. My C4 is running way to rich, I did have a performance chip installed in it and that is when it started, I put another ecm and chip in and still fouling out all the plugs
Can anyone help me and tell me what I should try next? Should I try a Jet performance chip instead of the one this guy on amazon made for me? He said he was going to make the fan come on early to keep it cooler
That was the first problem, the fan never came on and it over heated. I argued with the guy because I know I have aluminum heads, he said i didn't, not sure if that is an issue or not.
Any help would be great, I did just order a fuel pressure tester to check that out.

If the problem started with the performance chip, does it go away if you put the stock one back in? If not, perhaps there is a real problem causing your rich condition and time to go down that rabbit hole of troubleshooting items that will contribute to that. i.e. leaky injectors, leaky fpr, erroneous cold reading from CTS etc.
