C4 Front Hub Bolts Torque Specifications Needed

Hi Folks,

I have to replace my front wheel hubs on my '84 and I would like to know the torque specifications on the bolts.

Front hub and bearing units........46 FT LBS

My Haynes reads "Hub to bearing-to-knuckle bolt and nut is 46 Ft-lbs. The book covers 1984-96. Did this on my 94, be careful with brake line and ABS plug-in. I found metal splinters on plug, they were holding like the plug was a magnet. Would suggest you at least buy Haynes book for your Corvette, it gives you a little heads-up on these jobs. Also I went with the 94 Firebird hub and bearing at Advance auto for $139.00.

Thanks for the specs guys.

Regarding hubs, I find they don't last too long. I get play within 6 months of changing them. What has your experience been?

Regarding the '94 hubs, don't they have a ABS module on the back which makes fitting a problem?
