I do not want to replace with another set of adjustable shocks. The system seems to work, I notice a difference between the settings. However on all settings the ride seems to float and bounce a couple times after the initial bump or dip in the road. Not of course on TOUR mode.
I understand the Bilstein b6 is for base and b8 is for z51 cars. I don’t think I want my car to ride like it’s dialed to the PERF setting on fresh shocks, would it be wise to install b6 shocks on my car?
I am looking for a ride somewhere between base and z51.
If you are going to scrap your FX3 shocks, Bilstein B6s are your best choice. However, you said that you "looking for a ride somewhere between base and Z51" which sound to me like the perfect case for leaving/fixing your FX3 system so you can dial it "somewhere between" anytime you want.
