Throttle cables and Kick down linkage

I turned my 1984 C4 into a carbureted. My Throttle cable is way too long I was wondering if anyone has done this and what they did to fix the problem. Is there a shorter cable I can buy and the proper mounting bracket to get the kick down and throttle sync together properly.

Does your 84 have the 700r4 trans? That trans also came in other GM cars that had the quadrajet carb. I bet cables from one of those might work. Look at the Caprice and Camaros in the years on this list

Get the brackets that mount to the intake off these cars too. Even if they don’t direct bolt on, you can usually modify and make them work

Yeah, I have the 4+3 speed automatic. Just for this years next year I am going standard and bigger
