Upgrading c4 sound system
My question is multiple parts first off whats the voltage and amps the stock amps are rated for?
Is it in my best interest to replace the amps with a 4 channel and power aftermarket speakers or can the stock ones power good aftermarket speakers?
And how much will these amps cost?
Also side note im making a customer fiberglass subwoofer if anyone is interested I will make a post when its complete with the journey.

I will probably be selling the rest of my stock bose system that works for anyone that sees this.
I was able to get it working somewhat but clearly the system was overpowered for the speakers. I replaced the door speakers and got decent sound but could not turn it up without distorting everything. I then tried replacing the rear speakers and another 4 channel amp I had over the weekend. The amp turned on for about 5 mins then shut off and I could not get it to work. I reinstalled the old amp thinking it would work but still no power to the amp.
I chased the main power wire from the battery after confirming the remote wire was sending power to the amp and discovered a 60 amp fuse blown. Im not an electrician but I don't know how I could has blown that size fuse doing what I did. Everything was unhooked from the battery when I swapped amps.
Any ideas on how that fuse got toasted so I don't do it again with the replacement fuse?
Sorry to highjack but I literally have zero stereo install knowledge!!!

as far as the fuse I would definitely sort out the wire cluster first if you haven’t already. My guess would be you have a frayed wire or something not wired up correctly.
Im also not the best at wiring but fuses dont typically blow unless subjected to an unusual circumstance. At my work where we have many simple wires its usually a frayed wire touching something it shouldnt be that causes a fuse to pop.
also check the fuse size recommended for your sub. For my 4 channel im installing it calls for a 70amp fuse, i doubt thats your problem but itd be good to have the proper size anyway.
I cleaned up and tightened the power connections on my aftermarket system before I installed the new 60 amp fuse. Viola! Power was restored to the amp so now i had to reattach the speaker wires. The original amp hook up only had four speaker ports that had both fronts crammed into one port( 4 wires) and both rears crammed into a single port (4 wires)
I separated each speaker and used all 4 ports, one for each speaker. My sound was restored but it soundz like complete sh*t. I tried adjusting the settings on the side of the amp and it made it slightly better but the bass is overwhelming even with the headunit on 0 bass.
Am I missing something? I am plannjbg on removing the rear speakers to resucure them in the floor enclosures which are rattling and vibrating lile crazy.
I also read about installing RCA filters for the connectors from the headunit to the amp.
Any suggestions from those members who actually know how to properly install an aftermarket system would be awesome.
Thanks Jon!!
