My car idles pretty good and accelerates very well but if I suddenly let off the throttle and let it decelerate i get a slight twitch or shimmy. I can not even tell where it is coming from the front or back end. It is not really bad I mean when I have a passenger in the car and ask them about it they say they really don't notice
I would check all ball joints and suspension bushings. Although I have never had similar problem, it almost sounds as if suspension geometry is shifting when forward thrust is reduced.
Its worth a try.
I live in Texas and only wish I knew what driving in ice was like (seems fun but dangerous) :D . It is really hard to pinpoint exactly where this irregularity is coming from. Do I need a jack to check the wheel bearings? The suspension is without a doubt the most unfamiliar part of the car to me. TIA
That is the same symptom I had when my bearing was found to be shot. You can get your rear wheels off the ground, grab the wheel at 12:00 and 6:00 and rock it to see if there is any play. There shouldn't be any.
You can do the same thing to the front tires but I suspect if it is a bearing it's in the rear.
