Hello all. I've recently installed new FX3 shocks and actuators in my 1993 40th Anniversary Vette to fix the system. First test with the new parts showed problems. Naturally, I read the codes and it showed 22, rear right time out according to the FSM. I followed the flow chart provided in the FMS and found that no connections at the plug to the actuator had 5 VDC. I had a new SRC module on hand and swapped them. I tested the connections again, read 5 VDC on all, and put everything back together. The code went away and the system worked as normal. However, during the road test, touring and sport would work, but at higher speeds and when switched to performance mode, the code would come back again. If I leave the selector switch in either touring or sport, the light stays off. I tried clearing the code from the system, but it would come back again each time I tried switching to performance. I'm confused because I know the shock and actuator are good via the flow chart and testing them in accordance with the FSM, the connection appears to be good since I'm receiving proper voltage where I should be, and the SRC module also seems good since my shocks and actuators pass the startup test on all four corners. Any advice on where to look next, or if there's something I missed, would be appreciated. Thank you.

 

If you're still getting a code 22 when switching to performance mode try swapping the rear shocks and see what happens. If no change, (still code 22) return the shocks to their original position and swap actuators. Also look at the SRC switch/ connector in the console for bad connection/ corrosion.
