My 89 6 spd is in open loop and wants to stay there. New O2 sensor. I checked the voltage in the engine bay. The voltage is in spec. New rebuilt ECM, that fixed the FP voltage problem. Does anyone have an idea what else I can do to correct this problem?
The dash says the car is at 200 degrees. Does the CTS do this ? Last time the CTS went on my 84 it burned one gallon per mile. I thought the car would run rich with a bad CTS. Because it would try to heat the car. Thank you
Cts in front of intake is for ecm, if you’re reading the dash gauge it’s not based off cts in intake but 1 in the head. You can shoot a infared gun on the o2 if the o2 is a one wire might not be hot enough. You need 5-600f to get the o2 active. A 3 or 4 wire heated o2 should be installed. When you said you measured mv at o2 was it a fairly steady .450mv or rapidly swinging ?
The spec said 0.2 - 0.3 off and 0.00 - 0.9 car running. It was about 0.2 car running. My car has a single wire. Can I change it to a 3 or 4 wire? Thank you
