Today I went out for a drive and on my way back I got cut off and I braked hard luckily not hitting the idiot that cut me off, I noticed on my instrument cluster that the BRAKE light was on and not going away I also noticed that my brakes were softer and I needed to press further down in order to brake, thankfully I got home without anymore issues, I turned the Vette off and then turned it back on in order to see if the light will go away but it doesn't, I also applied the E-Brake then disengaged it to see if that would make it go away but it didn't, any ideas on what my problem could be?
(For anyone wondering I won't be using it until the problem is fixed)

Most likely you sprung a leak. There is a swtich in the master cylinder that will turn the light on if either the front or rear loses pressure. If you open it, one side is probably low or empty.
I would check your brake fluid. There’s a low brake fluid sensor that could have been activated when you hit the brakes. Add fluid if needed. This happened on my 93.

I turned the Vette on and I did hear some suction from the brake booster area I never heard it before so I'm going to remove it and start there I did check the brake lines and none were leaking
