My swag at an answer is youd want to set the controls to full heat or full cold and attach the rod in the corresponding position.
if youre able to take a ton of pictures id like to see them. The rod on mine is gone completely. Im not sure what things look like inside the box. Im thinking of cutting an access hold so i can hook it back up then epox the hole back closed. But itd be bester if i could know what is right behind that panel and how much depth i have to work with before i damage something. Maybe i need my own thread 😅
Sorry but I put it back together. My problem now is, I installed the new actuator . I turned my AC on and off 4 times and it worked . Iput everything back together and now it doesn't work again. Its a intermittent problem. I may go out today and it will work. I opened the old actuator and the gear that usally cracks is fine . Now I need to now what my next step is !!!!! Any ideas ???? anyone !!!
All of the wiring in these caes is 30+ years old. An issue like this sometimes means a loose connector that wiggles when you reassemble or wires that have an open and move around.
