Default AC Blower Motor

I have a 1993 Corvette. Does anyone know if there is a high speed alternative to the AC Blower motor? I would love for it to blow out hard and fast like newer cars. I heard they used to make one, but I think it is an old wives tale, because I can't find them anywhere.

Marc Haibeck the ZR-1 guru did a very cool mod on my car. He replaced my stock 160 amp alternator for a higher power 200 amp unit. He double wired to the battery and to the blower motor. Checked air flow before and after the mod. Before 10 mph out the vents, after 14 mph out the vents....40% improvement. You can feel a tremendous difference in both cold air in summer and heat in the winter.

Thank you so much my friend. I just ordered one. Pricy, but worth it all day long. I definitely have a kicking stereo system and I also have two high speed fans that I personally mounted in front of the condenser to ensure my AC does its best. I can't wait to get it and install it. Can you tell me what you mean by double wired to the battery and to the blower motor? Do you run two wires for the power and ground directly from the alternator to the blower motor?

Due to the higher amps, you can change out the current wire for a thicker one to carry the additional power but a thicker wire is more difficult to bend and fit into place. That is the reason for doubling the same size wire which does the same thing as replacing with a single thicker wire. So yes, we have two wires from the alternator to the blower motor and to the battery. If you have any question about this mod, drop Marc Haibeck an email at mhaibeck@sbcglobal.net. He might have something on his website as well, www.zr1specialist.com

Can't thank you enough. I truly appreciate it. I want you to know that I went through exactly what you said and it worked. My AC has never been better. Everything works better because of the alternator. It's like a new car to me.
