1996 Corvette P0758 help
Hi folks, I have a 1996 Vette that has an intermittent P0758 code. It doesn't always do the whole "locked to third gear" thing, but sometimes does. I verified that the fluid level is correct, cleared the code, and did some research on how to troubleshoot the code, but unfortunately all the info I've been able to find pertains to the C5 and I have no clue what applies to the C4 as well, if much of anything does. I appreciate any advice you folks may have.

First thing to check would be to make sure your cable is plugged into the transmission correctly and not loose. Then you have two choices. Switch the two solenoids around(they are the same) to see if the same or a different code appear. If the same code reappears, the fault is not the solenoid itself. However, these are cheap solenoids(around 35.00 each) so I would just change them both and do the messy job hopefully only once.
