Hey Folks. Brand new here. I had a '68 350, 4-speed, rag top that I sold because I didn't run it enough and my Dad had a '69 that Mom had him sell before I could get my hands on it (thought I'd hurt myself at 55 years old---never stop being a Mom, right?!?) Anyway, I just bought a beat up and sorely in need of help '93, 40th anniversary coupe. I THINK I got it right, but how the hell do I know. 2 issues (stop it.....I said I thought I got it right : )~
1) Will start for a few seconds on ether, but not without it, but there is fuel to the schrader (sp?) valve. ECM? or all 8 injectors bad at the same time?!? It's been sitting for 8 years.....?
2) no title....sat at a shop for 8 years and guy never picked it up after $1,800 of work done. Any thoughts on how I can get a title---I know about the Vermont Loophole

Although "Fuel at the schrader" doesn't mean anything -you need to actually check pressure, it's pretty likely that you've got stuck injectors from sitting. I bought a beater that'd been sitting for 5 years, 5 of the 8 injectors were stuck closed or clogged. Wouldn't start or even fire. Not even the three that weren't plugged.
Getting the title will depend on what state you are in. In Tennessee there are 2 ways to get a title: 1) if the car is more than 30 years old or worth less than $3k, you can submit an application for Certification of Ownership. 2) if the car does not meet the requirements in item 1, submit a surety bond application.
So, check your state requirements.
