The heads I used on my car are nearly double the price they were 3 years ago. Actually pretty much every single material we use in our construction nearly doubled in price and hasn't budged back down... but that's a story for another day.
I never liked the sound on the C4s however the corsa sounds decent on the trucks for whatever reason. I have a weird relationship with Gen 3 and up... some sound alright and some sound really bad... I think the corsa on a C4 would sound pretty good if someone were to go through and tweak the exhaust from the heads back. There are a couple that sound pretty good.
People just keep paying STUPID prices for stuff they just gotta have. Its no wonder there's been run-away inflation. Quit buying. MAKE prices come down. Find solutions other than the expensive ones.
Why is Corsa so expensive now? When I started my 96 build just before Covid hit it was about 1300-1500 for the Catback for my 96 LT4. I figured I would get that last. After Covid it was running 1800+ and I checked today and they are avg 2300!! Its the SAME THING as it was before. What has happened??
I did find a used set right at the beginning of my build locally for 750. I am kicking myself now...
Hopefully someone in China will counterfeit this system and make it cheaper for the people who really want it
I think they already did.
The OBX system seems to be a close copy for an MSRP of $893. This is for a '92-'95, but the only difference to '96 is an O2 sensor hole which should be easy to add.

I have often wondered what the difference was? It's only the O2 bung? I still have my stock manifolds with O2 bungs on them. If that is the only difference than that is easy.
I reached out to the OBX guys and they said that system linked above is no longer available under OBX. Now it is the Maximizer system.

Both that OBX/Maximizer system and that High Flow Performance system look interesting.
I wonder how they sound? Any reports?
What is the exhaust system pipe diameter of the high flow setup?
The chambered mid section of the high flow Performance system plus the X pipe ought to sound interesting. It also appears there are some chambered or glass pack bits right by the tips?
I wonder how loud it is.

Seems is the operative word. In their superficial copy, they didn't include the biggest part -- the 1/4 wave anti-drone chambers in the mufflers. They are simply perforated cases packed with steel wool. NOT the same underneath -- as Corsa.

BTW...I get "FORBIDDEN" when I click on OBXracingsports.com. During this summer, they failed to replace any C4 products listed on eBay. At first, I wondered if they were abandoning the C4 platform (in lieu of more popular LSx cars) but the website being down all this week, makes me think they are heading out? Would be too bad as they do make alternative products even if harder to tweak/install.
Many years ago, this forum complained and complained about Tri-Y headers from VetteTech. We all hoped their "jig" would improve. Instead, they took a hike. Riding the fence on supporting vendors and complaining about them can be a two-edged sword.
BTW...VetteTech Tri-Y's fit my car pretty well AND they perform well (for enhancing torque). Plus, changing plugs is a breeze. Wish someone would bring them back.....So others could have that option.
I reached out to OBX and they are no longer carrying the items under OBX. They told me they have the same part number Maximizer High Performance but the pics you see on ebay don't look to be stainless steel.

Maybe it's missing belly mufflers? Regardless, there are opportunities to add additional sound abatement devices in your exhaust stream -- short of pulling the Corsas. Seems counterintuitive you'd do the other mods (reported this summer) then bottle that up with stock mufflers.
