Default Question for those with Borla mufflers.

I've been looking at the cat backs and just the mufflers with the LT-1 style out-lets. Are they the real deal of a LT-1 style tip or is it just a muffler with two out lets and a piece of sheet metal sliped over to make it look like LT-1 style tips??

It is the two outlets w/ a piece of sheet metal wrapped around them. I also wondered how that was considered LT1 style..............doesn't look anything like LT1 tips to me.

Yea there "LT1" style tips seem pretty ugly to me... And Borla itself seems to be a little pricey too....

I replaced my LT-1 mufflers with Borla's about 9 yrs ago. I went with the square ZR-1 tips. They were pricey as mentioned above but you usually get what you pay for. Like I said, they have been on the car for better than 9 years, no problems and still look good IMHO.

I wasn't sure I was going to like the Borlas after having read some
negative feedback regarding price, quality, and "look". But I ordered them
anyway (I really wanted something similar to the LT1 tip). I couldn't be happier. I love the look, sound, and quality. They get a lot of positive
reaction at shows and cruise nights. I must warn you however, Borla's
support sucks (but I imagine most companies these days don't try too
hard to make a positive impression). Here are a couple of pix for you.

Yup. Just a wrap around the two pipes. Found them to be quieter than everyone says. Some resonance. Would pick something different, but they came on the car.
