Default why does my 86 do that?

Hey, I have a 1986 L-98 with the aluminum heads and the 4+3. when i let the clutch out in first gear the car wants to skip or miss right in the 800-1200 rpm range. It will do it in every gear as long as its in that rpm range. The problem is realy aparent when i am trying to exit a parking lot and i have the car in second gear @ about 10-15 mph. the car bucks back and forth until i get out of that rpm range. I assume that it is a engine issue as it does this only in that rpm range. I have replaced the MAS,TPS,plugs, wires, distributor(cap&Roto r),wheel bearings, and the u-joints on the drive axels. I just have no ideas left on what it could be, Please help! Thanks in adtvance!!

Since youve already changed everything ive thought of, maybe its a fuel issue. Hopefully not a computer problem. Have you pulled the plugs recently to see if anything is up with them?

This is what it sounds like to me.
If you are starting this Vette up 'cold'...the transmission reaction should be as if you are shifting a non-overdrive 4 speed, until you reach normal operating temperature. However, if the tranny is already warm, I believe the 'skip and miss' action you describe is a normal occurence at those low RPM's.
If tranny is already warm...try pushing the shifter button, to take you out of OD.

You should find the 'skip and miss' to stop.

Anytime I drive my Vette, and I'm not on the 'Interstate Highways'...I always drive 'out-of-overdrive'. Once I get my Vette above 50 MPH, and I'm on the Interstate...I press the OD button, and cruise.

I hope I'm understanding your problem correctly.

Check your initial spark timing, it sounds like it is too advanced.

i cheaked the timeing and its right on @ 6 degrees. The car will miss regardless if its in OD or not cold or warm. Although it does do it less when its cold beacuse it revs at 12-1300rpms to get warm, but it still does it.
