What upgrades has anyone done to modernize the headlights on their c4? My daughter will be driving it next year and I want her to have great lighting. I found an LED kit for $200 but wasn't sure what else is available.
Curious if anyone has tried the HWSTAR 2022 180W 1000% Bright H6054 5x7 7x6 Led headlights from Amazon? It's $90 and advertises the the same #6054 as the Led kit previously mentioned in this thread.

I just installed the following LED headlights from Amazon in my 1989:
HWSTAR 2022 New 180W 1000% Bright H6054 5x7 7x6 Led Headlights Compatible with Jeep Cherokee XJ Wrangler YJ
They went in relatively easy, and after a simple modification to my fog light wiring (I directly grounded the ground wire on each fog light instead of allowing it to run to the high beams, but I think this is only applicable to the 1989 year) everything worked well. I have independent control of my fog lights, low beams, and high beams.
I am VERY happy with the output and pattern. Huge difference. Really makes the car a pleasure to drive. Highly recommend.

Considering these for my 85 and 88.
Since these are LED's, I suspect these draw less AMPS than the OEM headlights and the existing wiring will be adequate. Is that correct?
I don't quite understand the issue with you having to change the ground on your fog lights.
Update: My OEM lamps are 35/65 watts and these LED's are 180 watts. Thats 3-6X the current draw. I have a FSM and cannot find what amps the "self-setting circuit breaker" is rated for. Is anyone having issues with the circuit breaker in the light switch tripping due to the higher draw of the LED's?

But they're not... In the world of LED lighting they always like to tell you the equivalent of watts of incandescent ( 180 ) if so then that's 15 amps, needing 14 gauge wire.
No fuses blown yet. What has it been 2 years or more now on mine? Wires haven't melted or overheated

The only issue (very small one) that you could have with any of these modern LED headlights is that most of them weigh more than the original bulbs. So you're putting more load on the motors. I really doubt this is an issue but just something to think about.
I just finished the install of the Amazon bulbs mentioned before. They are way brighter than the factory bulbs. I put 35w HIDs in the fog lights also so I should have lots of light now.
A little late to the game but just ordered these from Amazon. Started dailying the C4 and working on making necessary upgrades to bring the car into the current year of tech.
