LT4 Combustion Chamber Volume?
Anyone know the combustion chamber volume (CCs) of stock LT4 heads? :)
I went to the Superior Chevrolet web page. They state 54.4CCs. Sound right? :)

They are supposed to be 54.4, but I've heard they spec out closer to 56 cc.
I didn't have mine cc-ed before porting...wished I did, but only 1.6 cc diff.

I went the cheap route & used a large veterinary syringe marked in CC's with alcohol & food coloring for fluid & then a clear Plexiglas plate W/ .06 Dia hole over the Comb chamber sealed with Vaseline, stuck the syringe into the hole on the Plexiglas plate & filled the chamber with the colored alcohol, 54-55 CC's was as near as I could measure.
Like you say it makes very little difference in the Comp ratio, if you are going to measure that close be sure & figure your crevice volume's also..
