Keep getting this nagging P0300 code and only the P0300 code and im feeling the lack of power in the car. Car has oomf from 1st to 3rd but feels like a lame duck on the highway, i drop into 5th or 4th and try to pass and im pulling slower than my sisters camry in what should be the peak powerband (3k to 5k). Some notes on the car are that the last owner put an MSD in it in lue of the optispark, and when i redid the sparks and wires (was throwing P0300 before) the new plugs I put in were gapped at .050 and not the .040 that some suggested. I was skeptical of the .040 as I heard elsewhere that the MSD requires a .060 gap, so I just split the difference and went for .050. Cylinder 7's plug was white (not getting enough fuel) and some others were almost black with the built up carbon. Im not getting codes for TPS or MAF so I dont think it'd be that. I have put fuel additive through mutliple tanks of gas to try and clear up the injectors, but im still getting the same situation. Could I need to send the injectors off to get cleaned, or is the gapping really that much of a problem?
Thanks All, Jimmy

I haven’t heard the nicest things about the MSD opti. Depending on mileage, those injectors may need a good cleaning. That white plug on 7 is a red flag. LT injectors are pretty easy to pull, shouldn’t cost much to have them flow checked and cleaned.
