Ecm replacement

Hello I have a 1988 corvette that has a issue with the cold start injector I’d like to delete it but I was wondering can I just delete it then put a 89 ecm in my 88 without changing the harness from what it sounds like the 89 made the injectors make up for the cold start injector

You don't need to change the ecm itself. The program is on the prom.

Yes, the ECM's are the same. You can just swap out the prom or burn the 89 BIN file to your existing prom. This is the perfect time to make a few other changes when you do that.

just curious. why not address the original cold start injector issue? seems to me, every time you modify or change something to fix a problem you open another can of worms. just my 2-cents....
