Door Locks
Whenever I click my automatic door locks in my 1984 Corvette, you can hear a clicking sound in the center of the dash but nothing happens with the door locks at all? My driver side door panel is off and the actuator moves quite freely with all the other rods.

The 84 and 85 power door lock circuitry is unique to these 2 years. The door switches operate a relay in the center dash. The power for the switches to control the relay comes from the CTSY/CLK fuse. The power for the lock actuators comes from the PWR ACCY circuit breaker. This breaker also powers the power seat track and the sport seat functions, if equipped. If the breaker has been removed because of problems with the seats, the power locks won't work either, but the relay will still click.
Check that the PWR ACCY breaker is installed and functional.

Make sure your car starts before you put the door panel back on. Because you may be triggering your alarm which will prevent it from cranking.
