Default 95 corvette needs engine

Hello unfortunately my 95 corvette engine threw a rod. I am searching for a stock replacement to make the swap easy. will a 96 or 93-94 engine be the same thing putting it into a 95?

I am guessing any 92-96 LT1 will work

You can make any 95-97 (f-body) work fairly easily. The ODBII ones have a crank sensor but you just don't use it. The earlier ones could work too but there are differences like the older vented Opti and the different intake and fuel rails.

What is/are the problem/s by replacing with a '95? From '94 thru '96, the opti is vented, and that is a plus.

You'd have to change the cam gear, front cover and put the longer pin in the camshaft to switch from spline drive to the vented pin drive.

The fuel rails and intake are different early to later years and can't be mixed.

I had it wrong, 94-97 would be the closest match. But, you have all the parts needed to make any year engine work.

I have a pretty much complete 95 LT1, that has one spun rod bearing. You could slip in one of your rods and be ready to go (sort of). Also have a good used standard crank to go with it. Located in Jackson, MI.
