Lingenfelter Performance Engineering is one of the Tuner companies that do corvette modifications. Very very very well respected. :) I have a bunch of their stuff on my car. http://www.lingenfelter.com
Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. A company in Decatur Indiana and founded by John Lingenfelter. He was on the Callaway team and the driver of the 1988 Corvette Sledgehammer. Probably the best Corvette performance company around(a toss up between Callaway and Lingenfelter). Go to http://www.lingenfelter.com to learn more. If you can afford the products I would highly recomend them. :steering:
Dont forget, theyre VERY EXPENSIVE TOO! But they deliver and you usually get what you pay for.Youll also see the name LPE used alot as a abbreviation for Lingenfelter.I visited their shop before and all I can say is WOW...wish I had the cash to afford one of their great tuner packages. :)
A "Lingenfelter" is best used to refer to a car built at or by Lingenfelter, not just a car with Lingenfelter parts. Anyone can buy parts and install them, but to have a package installed by LPE takes time and money and deserves to be called a "Lingenfelter".
The above details are right on. They have their own ideas, method of tuning and can surely pull some power out of a SBC engine. They are expensive. The engines are quite durable also. I have nearly 40,000 HARD miles on my 383. It's never blown up or even hinted at slowing down. I'm going to run mine on slicks and skinnies very soon, so stay tuned. :) I'm hoping for mid 11's.
John Lingenfelter: The almighty GOD when it comes to small block chevys. He is currently in the hospital due to a crash. No one can build em' as fast AND civilized as he can.
