Hi all. I'm looking at a 1984 Corvette "project car" that states it has a manual transmission. Would a 1984 manual car have a Dana 44 rear end? If so, would that Dana 44 from 1984 fit in my 1989?

No ‘84 only got the D36 regardless if it was a stick. Doesn’t answer second question but seem to recall early rears vs late had some track width differences. With the differences…club me like a seal pup if I’m wrong…doesn’t stop you from bolting one in for the other.

An '84 D36 if early production had issues. It would be a good reason to actually avoid an '84 buy maybe. If it runs, drives and the trans does what it's supposed to do maybe you reconsider.
