so ive been having trouble with my 1984 doors not closing properly and its pretty annoying. ive been told that these cars had a special system in the door locks that would roll the windows up for you to ensure a water tight fit. however im not completely sure if its true or not. do any of yall long time owners know of anything like that in these c4s?
There is no special window system in the lock cylinder. But if you're windows aren't adjusted right and the stops aren't then you may have problems with door closure.
So you may want to pull the door panels, with doors closed windows up loose. The Mounting bolts let some tension out. If that doesn't work you might want to adjust the stops
