96 C4 making me nuts

96 C4 making me nuts
Hi
I have a 96 c4 No crank no start . there was an issue with the PCM board was burned out . replaced the unit Still no crank no start . If the starter is jumped at the solenoid it will run for a few seconds and shuts down . I have checked all the grounds on the car all look good i see no evidence of broken wires or loose grounds . No led on the dash only park light comes on . I'm in the process of checking the circuit for the starting system but defiantly frustrated.
the only light that comes on in the information center is the pass key it flashes then stops. Could this be the VAS system that is shutting it down is there a way to bypass?
