Default Do all problems lead to opti????

OK my 92 started having problems so not knowing how old parts were I replaced IAC valve O2 sensors,MAF sensor , spark plugs. It has MSD opti and MSD plug wires. I also replaced the pretty bad looking opti cap and rotor which is when I noticed all the oil inside from worn seal. Figured that was the problem and now I'm good to go. I read a tip to start the motor to make sure it ran before putting water pump back on and trimming the motor out. Now it ran worse than ever so after a hundred F bombs I thought maybe the water temp sensor might have an effect on the motor so I put the water pump off to the side and plugged in the wire and she purred like a kitten finally. Now everything is together and I go for a test drive and driving normal it runs great. It's a 6 speed so clutch in rev it up it sounds great, put it in gear and floor it and after about 3,000 rpm it bucks hard off and on. it's like theres a switch connected to the coil and im switching off on off on. If you look at the opti sensor there is a bubble on the right edge and there is also one on the back.Do you think these could be a sign of opti acting up and causing a problem from possibly getting to hot?? What do you thinkguys ?? thanks I guess I should have mentioned that I dont know how it happened but the wheel was stuck to the plate and it was damaged trying to get it off and was replaced with a new one so the wheel is not an issue.

I think the damage to that opti disc was caused by human interaction and not "getting hot". Dan

^^^^ This. Heat does not cause 'bubbles" on opti disc. From the gouge mark, it is clear someone tried prying off the disc with a screwdriver. That disc is finished. I can't comment on the amount of clearance between the disc and the sensor but I would bet that the disc is grinding on the sensor every time it goes around.

I have no idea what you are saying. The disc does spin. Where in the hell did you buy just a new disc? Dan
